The entertainer issued a heartfelt message in the wake of the death of Redford in the iconic romance their famous collaboration. His life ended at the age of 89 in a place he deeply adored.

In an online post, the performer reminisced regarding their time together while making the romantic drama.

“Each day during filming of that beloved movie felt thrilling, powerful and completely magical,” she expressed. “We were such opposites: he was from the world of horses; I was allergic to them! Yet, we continually sought to understand each other as people, similar to our roles in the film. He had magnetic charm, sharp, focused, always interesting—and an unparalleled talent. Our final meeting, over a meal together, we discussed art and made plans to share our first drawings. He was one of a kind and I feel fortunate to have experienced the chance to work with him.”

A Timeless Influence

Romantic drama the movie was beloved by audiences and critics alike featuring Streisand’s signature tune also becoming a popular success and being nominated for an accolades from the film industry.

This moving homage adds to numerous from Hollywood and beyond following his passing. Meryl Streep, who starred with him in several films, stated, “A great spirit has left us. May he find peace dear friend.”

Jane Fonda, who worked alongside him in four movies such as their famous comedy, commented: “I was deeply affected upon learning about his passing. I can’t stop crying. He meant a lot to me and was a beautiful person in every way. He advocated for an America we have to keep fighting for.”

My thanks to you, Bob for having faith in my abilities and for your wisdom and support.”

He was also described by a renowned director as a true “artistic game changer”.
