Self-assured Wardley Tips the scales at Twenty Pounds Less Lighter Than Bulky Joseph Parker

Parker stepped onto the scales nearly 20lb heavier against Fabio Wardley as each big men displayed assured poses - even if in contrasting ways - leading up to this weekend's feature bout in London.

"It all comes down to this. This means all," stated a serious but focused Fabio Wardley, thirty, at Friday's scale ceremony.
The Ipswich fighter - who holds the interim WBA title - registered at 17st 5lb, matching his previous matches.
"This contest before the ultimate challenge. Every effort is done. Preparation is completed. All the hard work is accomplished. Time for some relaxation now. Major event tomorrow," he stated further.
The historic venue in London's east end hosted more than fresh produce on the measure as the two boxers faced off for the final time ahead of the bout.
Parker gave a wink at the camera and moved along to the tunes.
Showing off his physique, he appeared powerful and forceful as he tipped the scales at 18st 10lb, only 5lb below than his peak weight.
This marks a far cry from the 107 kg iteration who surrendered his world title to AJ in 2018.
"We're weary, we are careful, but I'm going to respond with equal force and I'm going to get him," Joseph Parker declared.

Wardley, dressed in an Ipswich top, maintained a serious expression, acknowledged the crowd, but seemed focused.
Despite being the lighter guy, Wardley has outstanding knockout power. He produced a dramatic comeback versus Justis Huni in June, behind on the scorecards then finishing his opponent in the final round despite being outmaneuvered for much of the fight.
"Parker, his team and the sport's followers will find out I belong to be at the summit of this division," Wardley affirmed.
"All challengers has been the boxer pundits predict will beat me. This is the one. His attributes include superior speed, swift, too experienced. However I haven't been beaten so far, and nothing will alter in the ring."
